Sophie’s Rescue Inc. Making new best friends since 2018.

Add some joy to your family with a new loving family dog today! We are a 501c3 non profit company so all donations are tax deductible! We are in need of donations to have our rescues vaccinated, spay/neutered.

Adopting is one of the best things you can do.

When you adopt, you’re not just giving a deserving dog a home. You’re also reducing the demand for puppy mills and other industrial-scale breeding operations that put profit before animal welfare. Every pet that is rescued helps all of our local shelters make room for new animals in need of care. Bring some love to your home today!

Meet Our Pups

  • Cocoa Puff

Cocoa is a very sweet 1.5 year old Boxer mix. She is great with other dogs. She loves adults and children, but she must be introduced slowly. Once she trusts you (which is quick), she will be your best friend. She is very cuddly and loyal. Very smart and obeys commands. She is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and up to date on all preventative medications. Potty trained and invisible fence trained. She would make a great addition to your family!

  • Belle (Tinker Stinker)

What a little treasure!! She is 7 months old and 6 pounds. She is all cuddles and lots of love! The perfect lap dog.

  • Dottie

Dottie is a total sweet heart. She is 1 year old and 25 pounds. She is a very kind dog and doesn't make a peep! She is potty trained and obeys basic commands. Great with all people and other dogs. She will provide a lot of love for anyone who gives her a home.

  • Daisy

Daisy is a 2 year old Pomeranian. She is very sweet and potty trained. She loves people and other dogs. Great lap dog with lots of love!

Our Mission

A Message from our Founder

For the past four years, I have been a foster for dogs/puppies looking for their forever home. It is my goal to help dogs that would otherwise end up euthanized or on the street.  With shelters at maximum capacity, I felt the need to start my own rescue.  It has always been my passion to help dogs in need.  After my retirement from the health care industry, I felt this to be the perfect time to start my rescue.

Our Mission is simple, to provide a loving environment and actively search for the right match for each dog.  I work diligently and never give up on a dog.  Sophie was my first dog and this rescue is named in her honor. - Shelly Kennedy, President/CEO
